Warrington LEA looking to change the admission policy for Bridgewater High School

Warrington Borough Council has published a proposal to terminate the primary school partnership between Daresbury and Moore primary schools and Bridgewater High School.  This would mean that any children attending either of the primary schools would find it more difficult to gain a place at Bridgewater from 2012 onwards. This proposal comes from Warrington Local Education Authority and does not originate from Bridgewater High School.  The governing bodies of both Daresbury and Moore Primary Schools are objecting to this proposal.

This proposal is one of many changes that Warrington is currently consulting on and the closing date for comments is 28th February 2011.  Whilst the document is on Warrington Borough Council’s web site, it has not been posted on their list of consultation documents and as such is difficult to find.

The full document can be found at

The Parish Council have alerted our MP, Graham Evans to the issues of education faced by the parish and he has agreed to support our objection to these proposals, but it is important that individuals raise their objections as well.
