Home Watch
Introduction
Home Watch in the Parish of Preston Brook exists to help improve the wellbeing of the residents of the parish. We try to ensure that that the concerns of the residents on issues such as anti-social behaviour, anti-burglary initiatives, home fire safety, cold-callers and more recently energy saving are addressed. If you have issues that you believe we could help with please contact us.
We have ten local representatives covering all the areas of the Parish and if you would like to be involved or would like more information, please contact Mike Byrne on 01928 717 298 or Rob McDonald on 01928 710836..
In May 2011, The Parish of Preston Brook experienced a number of crimes or attempted crimes on our community. These included break-ins to property, attempted break-ins to property, car theft and attempted car theft. The advice given by one of our local PCSOs included:-
Ensure that the windows and doors of your property are securely locked
Do not leave your garage open and unattended
Car keys should not be left in view or where they can be hooked through the letter box (modern cars are very difficult to steal without the key)
Ensure that cars are left locked
Do not leave in view in your car what could be taken as valuable items
